Mustang in Training

Cookie is a 3 year old mustang captured by the Bureau of Land Management.  We adopted her in hopes of giving her a better life.  The pictures below depict some of the initial training that she has gone through.  Wonderful disposition, sure footed, and a very big heart.  Over all a very nice horse.

With this mustang as any horse we started her off on the right track by doing the same ground work as any of our horses.  The mustangs are a little more alert and in tune with their surroundings so a more careful approach is taken.  Same trust needs to be earned and not demanded.  Cookie is a wonderful mare with a lot of potential.  These mustangs are truly an honor to work with and own.  I am very proud of this horse.
